All GREEN Schools projects

Cycle 2 & 3 students learned about constellations and the stars, the students had the opportunity to visit the Planetarium in montreal. 

After learning about different landforms, the students had to build their own private island demonstrating at least three different landforms in 3D. They were also required to use recycled materials. 

Grades 1A and 1B created abstract art by using recycled boxes to roll painted marbles around on and toilet paper roll stamps.

Students in grade 1A wrote letters to the cafeteria asking that they stop giving individually packaged snacks to make less garbage.

Grades 1A and 1B planted bean seeds together to learn more about plants.

We reused Christmas cards, newspaper, styrofoam pellets, and other materials to decorate our hallways and gym for our Christmas concert.

We reused dryer sheets to make ghosts for Halloween decorations.

Recently the students in Ms Fyles’ grade 3 / 4 class at Bouchie Lake School entered the BC Hydro Community Champions contest.  Students viewed 15 short videos highlighting community projects and voted for a project which inspired them.  In return we were given the opportunity to enter a project we wanted to pursue.  The students chose putting a gate into our fence to allow all of our classes’...
