Wrap Up:

Whirling Disease has been discovered in fish in Banff and the Bow River which eventually joins up with the Old Man River near Medicine Hat and flows into the South Saskatchewan River draining into the Hudson Bay. This disease can kill trout when infected.  There are several trout species, such as Bull Trout and Cutthroat Trout that are already at risk, due to other sensitivities. Parks Canada has decided to kill affected species in specific lakes in Banff National Park.
