All 13 classes have compost buckets. We collect the compost (vegetables and fruit matter), and take it to be composted at the Community Garden.

 Earth Week activities were hosted by our school's Student Environmental Leadership Group (H.O.P.E. Team / Helping Our Planet Earth). Students had their faces painted, and money was collecting through a bake sale and by donation. We were able to adopt several animals through World Wildlife Fund.  We promoted Active and Green Transportation to school by hosting Walking Wednesdays. Students received a ticket when they arrived to school in the morning by walking, cycling, skateboarding, carpooling,or using public transportation.
