Perennial Native Plants Installations

All classes in Oakenwald from K-6 have been involved in culturing perennial plants that are native to Manitoba. We have been learning that to have a sustainable ecosystem, it is important for insects to have native perennials to depend upon for food and shelter.

Growing Plants for Squirtle the Turtle

Nature Club Students and students in room 3 grew food for the Turtle “Squirtle”. They studied him for their research project for the PLCs. Grade 3 students in TLC, also borrowed Squirtle to study him for their Unit on Life Cycles.
