Each class is participating in a school-wide Bike/Walk Challange to help promote helping the environment! Students that live in town are encouraged to bike, walk, or scooter to school instead of being driven.
In Mrs. Nishi's Grade 2 class the science of water included a lesson on the Pacific Garbage Patch and the consequences of putting garbage in our water ways.
Students in two of our classes are raising Salmon from eggs. They are watching and recording growth and learning about the life cycle of salmon.
Once again we have a tank and are incubating our coho. Right now they are in the alevin stage: they still have their yolk sacs attached. We will watch them grow into fry and celebrate when we release them into their home river.
