Recycling Broken Christmas Lights

The Nature Kids Club asked the school to bring broken Christmas Lights. We donated the broken lights to STAR EcoWorks Energy Systems Inc. and they donated solar lights to families in Africa. The solar light went to a teacher to help her have light to teach her students in her classroom.

Where does food come from?

Nature Kids Club learned where their food was coming from and how it was impacting the environment. Students in room 3 learned that if they took the seeds from tomatoes, peppers and cucumber, they could grow their own garden of those foods. They were amazed.
