After learning about different landforms, the students had to build their own private island demonstrating at least three different landforms in 3D. They were also required to use recycled materials.
1D captured tadpoles and have been raising them in our classroom for 2 months. We have had 2 species. The first species grew into toads and were released. The second are still developing and we observe them regularly.
Grade 3D compared 4 different types of soil through observation. They drew diagrams and described these soils using adjectives about the different colours and textures.
As Grade 3 works in the garden/outside we appreciate wildlife no matter how small. Students catch snails, toads, beetles etc in an appropriate cage to observe.
