They did it again ! 13 students from grade 11/12, with the helped Home Harward and Tree Canada, planted trees on the north part of the city. Those trees will stop the wind when they grow up. A good gesture for our community.
Today we learned about the benefits of even the smallest plant and discussed how plants help our community. We then walked around our neighborhood and parks, taking notice of all the green around us. We discussed which plants were decoration, edible, wild, etc.
Earth Day Activities---Shoreline Clean up, Yellow/Green Fish Drain painting, Litter pickup around town, school yard clean up.
Our class took part in a wonderful outdoor scavenger hunt that featured clues from our in class enviornmental diccussions as well as fun common outdoor objects that may be easily overlooked by the daily passerby. Needless to say they had so much fun participating in the nature around us!
