Hi. This is the Every Day is Earth Day Green Team. We are very new to this program and we would like to share with you our first project. We are doing a Worm Compost.
We are working with our preschoolers, toddlers, and infants as they learn to take care of their home -- Earth! We have bins that even our littlest help to scrape their food into for compost, as well as recycling bins for paper scraps etc. Every little step makes a difference :)
Each class is participating in a school-wide Bike/Walk Challange to help promote helping the environment! Students that live in town are encouraged to bike, walk, or scooter to school instead of being driven.
We compost organic waste at lunch. Compost buckets are emptied and cleaned daily by students and the gardening club looks after the compost.
