We have “No waste Wednesdays” at our school. The Nature Kids Club would like to move to litter-less lunches by the end of the year! Litter-less Lunches are when we do not leave any waste at school. Everyone is encouraged to bring re-usable containers for all of their foods. Chief Justice Milvain School - Calgary

The Nature Kids Club collects used or dead batteries (9V, AAA, B, AA, D, C and cell batteries) to recycle for the metal. The acid in the batteries is also drained and therefore bypassing the landfill and not leaching into our water systems. The students learn how the important water is and how we need to protect it.
