The primary hockey club made trophies out of recycled items. Some of the recycled items included: plastic bottles, big water jugs, recycled paper, etc. The trophies will be used as prizes for the best team at the end of clubs.
1B used scrap/GOOS paper to decorate our recycling bin. We talked about what it means to recycle something. We learned that recycling our paper is much better than throwing it in the garbage.
After many year of making jokes about saving forests, Mr. Forest, the math teacher, can now say "it's mission accomplished".
We have been collecting all juice boxes, water bottles and other recyclables to be taken back to the depot for recycling. We have also now signed up for a recycling program which encourages all students to recycle with a points system.
