Rain Clouds

The Grade 4/5 class is learning about weather and how different factors affect weather. In this experiment we were learning about how clouds are formed and how rain falls. This experiment had the students counting the amount of drop of water collected in their cloud before it began to rain. It was demonstrating that clouds are heavy with water and that cloud collect water vapour before they release the water as rain.

In conjunction with this lesson we made a cloud in a bottle to learn how a cloud is formed by using dust (in the form of smoke), pressure and heat.
