Clean the Air, Green Our Classrooms Project

The Greeen Team at Archbishop O'Leary High School organized the Clean the Air, Green our Classrooms Project. Two students from the Green Team brought one air purifier plant in each classroom in the school. These plants are even more effective than any humidifier machine in keeping the indoor air clean and free of toxics. They give great benefits to all of those with respiratory problems, like asthma or allergies, and they also help to prevent this kind of illnesses, among others. A group of students and teachers will take care of the plants in each classroom on a regular basis. Along with the plants, each classroom received the Edmonton's Green Living Guide, provided to our school by the City of Edmonton. This guide gives more detailed information about these plants and their health benefits, along with lots of tips to help lessen our impact on the environment.
