We cut string valentines and glued them to a tree drawn on construction paper and then displayed the art project in the hallway.

Students in Grade 3 recycle juice boxes etc, each week. They collect the juice boxes from each class around the school, sort, count and clean bins. The money they raise is used for field trips.

The Nature Kids Club issued a Waste-less Wednesday Challenge at Chief Justice Milvain School. Students are challenged to see which class can bring the least amount of waste on Wednesday at snack and lunchtime. The winning class at the end of each month will be given environmentally friendly prizes.

National Clean Air is on June 15th and the Nature Kids Club and students from room 3 talked about the impact of not having clean air has on animals, plants and people. They shared what they thought they could do to make a difference. Little steps with the help of the difference makers!!!!

National Turtle Day is on May 22nd and it is awareness for all Animals on the Extinction List. The Nature Kids Club and students from room 3, learned about why these animals are on the extinctions list and things you can do to help.

Earth Week – involves getting outside! Nature Kids Club encouraged all classes to get outside and enjoy their surroundings and celebrate and learn about the Earth.
