We recycle newspaper into small pots to plant seeds and sprout seedlings. These planters are bio degradable so we can just plant the whole unit, planter and seedling into a bigger pot or the ground when the seedling needs to be transplanted. You can see roots grow out from the bottom of the planter and know that it is time to transplant them without disturbing the roots or hurting the seedling. Best of all the newspaper pot becomes compost for the soil!
