Be the Change Project: 'Slang Revolution 2.0'

Students who attended the CONNECTIONS program from Saint Marguerite-Bourgeoys decided to do their rendition of the program's Slang Revolution. The students put on a presentation for the grade seven, eights and nines. It analyzed the language used in the schools and the potential problems associated with it. A survey distributed before and after confirmed that students didn't fully realize the effects their words had on their peers.

The presentation also included strategies for students to express themselves without a negative connotation.

The movie presented in the presentation 'A Thousand Words' is available for rent here.
