Raising chicks

The grade 6/7 class did an inquiry science unit on Eggs. They observed, reflected and watched as eggs were incubated and hatched. They then found good homes for the chicks.

Learning about Food Security

Room 16 + 18 Kindergarten class had a class lesson learning about the importance of plants. Students learned about parts of the plant and how plants grow. Students got to see and taste different types of fruits and vegetables. They learned what plants need to grow.

Indoor Garden

Archbishop O'Leary students have started their own Indoor Garden. With the help of student teachers Stephen Balchan, Helena Heise, and teachers Jennifer Mac Cormac y Macarena Alamo Santos, very soon we will be able to collect delicious tomatoes, lettuce and basil grown in our own school.

St. Richard Urban Agriculture Club - Tower Garden

Urban Agriculture Club members are growing vegetables in our school using a Tower Garden aeroponics system. Our goal is to offer our classmates, teachers and parents the opportunity to watch vegetables growing indoors in the winter.
